Vic, remember when I said I was going to make that giant collage out of pictures of flowers? This is what I wanted it to look like. I guess Seiko Kato has a lot more patience than me. Well done!

I think I need these amazing painted sticx by illustrator Ginette Lapalme to go along with the ones I’m planning to wrap in yarn (see, um, three posts back).

The male bowerbird is one of nature’s star architects—and a born ladies’ man. They build these bowers as elaborate sets for wooing females (the bowers aren’t used as nests), adorning them with an array of eye-catching flair. Their use of color and sense of pattern and repetition is amazing. Check out the full collection of awesome photos at National Geographic.
