We understand life backwards.
– Wise words from a doctor speaking at a talk I attended today for work. It is only in hindsight that things can start to make sense….

You’re an enigma wrapped inside a onion wrapped inside a kid’s cliff bar!
– Best description (compliment?) ever. Thanks, Judy.

This morning, I stumbled upon an amazing cover album from last spring: Broken Hearts & Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine. It opens with Bruised Orange, performed by Justin Vernon. Like the best of his Bon Iver songs, this cover makes me want to weep.
Listen to the whole album over at Band Camp.

Multifarious
It’s been a while since I’ve done a WOD. Well here’s one I learned just this morning (thanks BBC World News!): Multifarious (a): having many different elements or parts. Greatly diverse or manifold. And… in a sentence: This Swiss Army knife has multifarious functions and capabilities. Among other things, it can act as a knife, a saw, a toothpick, and a slingshot.
