Happy Friday!  Enjoy my current fave track in honor of the Weekend (get it???). Thanks to my beloved Ass for introducing me to the Smith Westerns when I was in a music rut.

permalink Given my love of shipping pallets as décor and my anal retentive nature, I should probably own these Pallet Coasters.

permalink Sorry for the lack of posting lately! I was in Thailand. More photos to come. Side note: Accidentally fogging up your lens makes for a fun filter, non?

permalink I have a soft spot for shaving kits, since my dapper dad always used a badger-hair brush and a beatiful razor he’s had since he was a young man. (As a kid, I’d often “shave” with him in the mornings, using a razor with the safety cap on to wipe the foam off my face.)
Anyway… love this Concrete Shaving Kit by Lovisa Wattman. Gorgeous. Great juxtaposition of traditional and modern.   Via sub-studio.

We understand life backwards.

Growing up, I was obsessed with all things glow-in-the-dark. I had shoes that only revealed their light-bright powers when I hid in the closet, I created “secret” pictures on my walls with phosphorescent paint, and my sweet high school boyfriend even covered the ceiling of my bedroom with a galaxy of stars (including a not-so-accurate heart constellation, which is still intact today). My point: All that was before I’d discovered my love of letterpress and typography, but I STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN OBSESSED WITH THIS POSTER.
